Rankin is a leader, team builder, mentor and creative marketer. He joined Mars in 2002, from Molson Canada, as marketing director for the Mars® and Snickers® brands and has since built branded businesses in a variety of local, regional, and global roles across Mars Inc.
Between 2017 and 2019, his teams' work has won over 175 creative awards globally, including 28 Cannes Lions, along with an additional 27 shortlists, across three Skittles’ initiatives: “Give the Rainbow”, “Exclusive the Rainbow” – the most awarded creative of 2018, and “Broadway the Rainbow” in 2019. He was named an ADWEEK Brand Genius in 2018.
In his current role, Global head of the Chocolate business unit at Mars Wrigley, he leads global marketing, advertising and strategic development initiatives for M&Ms®, Snickers®, Dove/Galaxy®, Twix® and Maltesers® among other brands.
