Eric joined McCann in 2015 as Chief Creative Officer, North America. Under his creative leadership, the agency has been named to Ad Age’s prestigious Agency A-List four years in a row, Cannes Agency of the Year twice, and Adweek’s US Agency of the Year.

Much of McCann’s success has come from advancing the marriage of technology and advertising. Adweek honored McCann with Best Of Show For Innovation on both Lockheed Martin’s “Field Trip to Mars” and “The Astronaut Reality Helmet” for National Geographic.

The focus on creativity and innovation has proven an effective driver of growth for McCann’s clients. McCann has been recognized at the North American Effies as the Most Effective Network, and McCann NY awarded the Most Effective Individual Office. McCann New York has also been named the Effie Agency of the Year.

Eric joined McCann from his own agency, Silver + Partners, which appeared frequently in Mashable for its social efforts and was named to Ad Age’s A-List. Prior to that, Eric served as Executive Creative Director at BBDO, where he managed FedEx, Monster and BBC. His work for all three clients was selected to Adweek’s Best of the Decade list.

Eric began his career as a writer at Chiat Day before moving to Portland to work on NIKE and ESPN at Wieden + Kennedy. From there, he joined “The Late Show with David Letterman” as a staff writer. After submitting a Top 10 list of reasons that Conan O’Brien’s show was funnier, he decided to accept a position as Creative Director at Cliff Freeman and Partners. According to the Gunn Report, Cliff Freeman was the most awarded agency in the world during that six-year period.

Eric is incredibly proud of the women in his life. He has an amazing wife, Jackie, a daughter who is loving life at UT Austin and a younger daughter attending Barnard in NYC. Go Bears.
