Mariano Alvarez born in 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Have been working as a Sound Designer/ Music Supervisor in São Paulo since 1996. Graduated in Social Communication at Centro Universitário das Faculdades Integradas Alcântara Machado (1996), Master in Communication Sciences at Universidade de São Paulo (2007) and is pursuing a PhD program at the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (Spain) in Audiovisual Communication and Advertising Department. Research area related to Audiovisual Communication, with emphasis in Sound. Since 2011 is founding and partner of Punch Audio. One of the most awarded Sound Production Company in Latin America. As a Sound Designer he has worked on over 30 films and series, for various content channels such as HBO, Disney Chanel, and many others. In 2002 he started working with Sound Art, collaborating with Jose Wagner Garcia’s “Amazing Amazon” installation. In addition, he works as a teacher at Anhembi Morumbi University in the Postgraduate Course in Soundtracks.
