The archive just saw this on Helayne Spivak's Facebook page. The ad on the top of course is the
iconic Maxell ad produced by Scali McCabe Sloves in 1980. The copywriter was Peter Levathes and the art director was Lars Anderson. This was just one of the many great ads that came out of this agency. The ad on the right as we see is a homage or a direct ripoff!
The Maxell ad is still being used, lately as a billboard in Times Square.
