One ID

The One Club is dedicated to celebrating creative excellence in advertising and design. We work with the most outstanding agencies in the industry and have for many years heralded great work by awarding the best with the coveted One Show Pencil. We also support the industry by offering diversity, education, and leadership programs for existing and aspiring creatives to help them grow in their careers. The One Club is committed to increasing diversity in the creative departments, we partner with agencies who share the same goal and it is our privilege to utilize these connections and resources for our Inclusion and Diversity programs, One ID.

WHERE ARE ALL THE BLACK PEOPLE

The One Club's Where Are All The Black People is our highly anticipated annual multicultural creative career fair. The one-day event provides multicultural students, recent graduates, and creative professionals who are interested in exploring careers in advertising and design the opportunity to showcase their talent to top agencies in the industry.

WAATBP was created after a panel discussion between advertising greats, Jimmy Smith and Jeff Goodby, as they discussed the lack of diversity in the creative departments in advertising agencies. At which time, Jeff asked, "Where Are All The Black People?" Jimmy, Jeff, and The One Club decided to answer the question and launched the event, "Here Are All The Black People." WAATBP provides real-world solutions to the lack of diversity in the advertising and design industry's creative departments.

CREATIVE BOOT CAMPS

The One ID Creative Boot Camp is an international traveling diversity workforce program that partners with agencies, top creative professionals, and partnering brand clients to expose and develop the future talent pool of advertising and design creatives.

Each boot camp is an intense 4-day workshop where participants are placed on teams of 5 or more and given the task to produce a full wrap-around advertising campaign complete with activation mock-ups. Teams are made up of participants from different walks of life, backgrounds, and school affiliations. Throughout the four days local top creatives donate their experience and time to mentor student groups by guiding team concepts and sharing impactful insight from an executive creative’s perspective.

On presentation day, each team is given only 10-minutes to execute a “real life client pitch” style presentation. Everyone must speak and their big idea must be stated within the first 3 minutes. A panel of creative experts that include Chief Creative Officers, Executive Creative Directors and the client judges the presentations.

In a true competition fashion, the top winning teams are given prizes, an opportunity to interview with the host agency/client and are also entered into a raffle for One Show/Creative Week tickets. All participants are given a certificate of completion and can be scouted by recruiters through our CBC Participant Look Book.
