How did Young Guns get on your radar?

I’ve heard about it over the years, as I have seen a mix of friends and people I admire from different creative fields celebrate their wins and nominations. Always amazing and inspiring artists and people.

How did you end up in the creative field?

I always loved filmmaking from a young age. I first fell in love with music videos when my dad would show me The Killers’ music videos on YouTube. I must have been around 8 years old at the time. I always wanted to do it since then.

Why did you decide to enter this year?

I never thought about entering; the people around me submitted me, and I am very grateful to them for doing so! Very cool to have a support system that is always try to raise me up :)

You only get to submit six projects. How did you decide what made the cut?

I don’t have that much work, so it was just my most recent videos that I admire the most. Excited to have a moment where I have more to choose from.

What was your reaction when you found out you won?

My company, Pulsefilms, texted me that I won. I was extremely excited and played Olivia Dean and danced in my kitchen to celebrate.

“My company, Pulsefilms, texted me that I won… and I danced in my kitchen to celebrate.”

In what ways does where you are living right now inspire your creativity?

Living in Los Angeles, I am constantly surrounded by people who truly inspire me and encourage me to push myself further and further. I feel all my friends are on the precipice of greatness as we are all growing up and entering new eras. It is feature film timeeee baby, there is something in the air.

If you could create a new Young Guns tradition what would it be — and why?

Handstands, I’ve been working on mine.

Name a creative/professional dream project that you have yet to fulfill.

I would love to do a Doja Cat video...and I want to make my feature. Also, a Katseye video. And also learn how to do a handstand.
