About the Work
Boeing Flypaper was designed to inspire the next generation of aerospace engineers to pursue future careers in science and technology. Designed by Boeing engineers, these paper airplanes were turned into colorful, foldable posters that bring engineering to life. The graphic designs were themed around the future of flight to commemorate Boeing’s 100 years of airplane-making. The posters were featured in the Boeing exhibition complex at the Farnborough Air Show in London, U.K. Miniature versions of the posters were created and distributed to high school students for “design challenges.” By enabling interaction and encouraging participation with a tangible poster, Flypaper is able to more creatively tell the Boeing story and inspire the next generation of innovators.
