About the Work
Many species of birds migrate at night, using the light from the moon and stars as navigation tools. City lights interfere with this behaviour and pull birds off course causing them to collide into windows. BirdSafe works to safeguard birds through education, policy development, research, rescue and rehabilitation. These posters encouraged people to turn off office lights in an effort to reduce these collisions, which kill 100 million birds annually in North America.
