Labels were made for the collection of natural wines from untreated vineyards in Croatia's wine region Istria, for vintage years 2012/2013/2014. As the producer wished, we focused our creativity on raising the awareness about the importance of avoiding the treating of wines with artificial substances. With the use of pesticides and balancing flavours, the year shown on the bottle has eventually lost its meaning, because flavours are unrelated to the actual weather conditions. In cooperation with the Croatian Meteorological and Hydrological service, the data on weather conditions were collected, and the amount of precipitation proved to be a great tool to show graphically how much weather actually affects the diversity of nature (and wine) every year. Circles show the amount of rainfall in a particular month, and the labels convey at first glance what was the vintage year like, and what kind of wine tastes can be expected.
