About the Work

After the initial launch of Hennessy Paradis Impérial (HPI) in 2010, Hennessy had the objectives of modernizing the brand image of this cognac while projecting its reputation of excellence to become the reference in the luxury spirit category. At Maison Hennessy, crafting the finest cognac has been a day to day quest for over 250 years. Created in 2010 by Yann Fillioux, the HPI blend embodies the craftsmanship and knowledge of eight generations of Master Blenders. Every year, 10 out of 10,000 eaux-de-vie on average has been carefully selected by the Master Blender to join this blend. To pay tribute to his accurate process and relentless quest for the finest eaux-de-vie, we imagined a cutting-edge and unique installation as a symbol of his mastery. “The Master Blender’s Quest” installation is now exhibited in Hennessy’s most secret place, where the oldest and most precious eaux-de-vie are kept: the Founder’s Cellar.
