About the Work

Last year, emotional support animals made a bunch of headlines, from people trying to take emotional support squirrels on flights to airlines banning “animals with tusks.” It got so heated, even Congress took up the issue. And so did Popeyes. During the most stressful travel week of the year, Popeyes offered travelers a new kind of emotional support animal—one you can eat. Popeyes limited-edition Emotional Support Chicken box quickly sold out, but not before it got people talking. It earned over 1.1 billion media impressions (worth almost $11 million).
