About the Work

Time Pieces is a zine that was mailed out as a promotional piece for clients. It's about wanderlust, friendship and realizing who is with you for the long haul. Rather than a mailer of recent commissioned work, I decided to create a piece with a story that is close to my heart and would hopefully connect with viewers in a more engaging way. I guess ‘time’ will tell if this was a good call or not. The square where TudaLou and Clock Tower meet everyday is on Rue des Amis. The buildings are inspired from a photo by Robert Doisneau entitled Kids from the place Herbert. Paris, 1957. I discovered that (Too-da-loo) may be derived from the french term- “à tout à l’heure" (see you later), a revelation that led to the creation of this story.
