About the Work

Creating the idea, name, pack design and activation for a premium limited edition from The Glenlivet. Our concept called Code draws on inspiration from the British code-breakers and celebrates the enigmatic nature of the product itself. We created a pack design that brings the Code story to life. Mimicking the typographic style of ‘the barrels’ that Alan Turing invented to crack the Enigma Code, introducing an unexpected black sprayed bottle with a minimal aesthetic, which clearly sets it apart from the core range. For the label and box wrap we used ‘Fenner black gold’ paper and finishes include two Kurz Luxor foils, adding to the mysterious nature of the design. Code challenges consumers to ’unlock the taste’ literally and encourages engagement with the Master Distiller, using the Shazam app, on the back of pack.
