About the Work
Despite its dyslexia-friendly nature, Comic Sans is the most hated font in the world. The latter can be accredited to the design industry, with every designer in the world calling for the wonky font’s ban. So, we decided to launch a campaign that faces designers with their arch-nemesis, wherever they looked, there was Comic Sans wittingly calling on them to adopt a more inclusive mindset. Not by overlooking their hatred of it and using it, but by designing new fonts that are both dyslexia-friendly and worthy of their designs at the same time.
The “There’s Nothing Comic About Dyslexia” campaign concludes with renowned designer Daniel Brokstad revealing a highly variable typeface designed to prove this isn’t an impossible task and that beauty and functionality do not have to be mutually exclusive.
