About the Work
The Forest Dream Exhibition debuted at the Joy City shopping centre in Shanghai from 8 April -7 May 2023. The special exhibition brings the landscape of one of China’s most well-known animated fantasy series to life, The Land of Warriors. “Land of the Warrior” is where the series takes place, and the beautiful Starry Forest is where many scenes are set. The exhibition transports visitors into the vibrant forest realm using a series of awe-inspiring immersive settings and interactive AI installations.
At the heart of the exhibition visitors are immersed in an interactive experience powered by advanced AI technology. Through the use of the AI image platform Stable Diffusion and a series of personal questions answered by visitors the platform produces individualised botanical plants and flowers totally unique to that visitor. Colours and textures correspond to their questions and output a distinctive fusion of personalisation and artistic expression.
Once visitors had their individual plants, we used Leap Motion technology to allow the visitors to form a unique bond with their botanical wonders using interactive gestures. The fusion of personal preferences and emotions resulted in a harmonious blend of nature and technology.
This multi-sensory experience creates a memorable connection to The Land of Warriors – allowing visitors to truly immerse themselves in the beautiful, mesmerising “Land of the Warrior” Starry Forest. After they leave the forest, they are able to take a beautiful key visual with them to share their botanic creation with their friends.
With an active user base of over 428 million, Tencent Video is one of the leading video streaming platforms in China, offering a wide range of content, including licensed TV shows, movies, variety shows, documentaries, and user-generated content.
