About the Work
If you love your pet (you do), you hate leaving them behind.
To show this we used an animation style that reflects the simplistic view from the mind of your pet. Seeing the world through the eyes and hearts of our pets means that spelling isn’t a thing, hooman legs look 12ft long, and drool is a love language. But in simplifying, we are able to focus on the pet/human emotion and the bond between pet and pet parent.
Decisions like making “hoomans” almost triangular, where their legs are bigger than their heads, was a way of flattening out the foreshortened perspective that dogs see us from down low. The tool palette was stuff that might have fallen off the kitchen counter — basic white paper, and two colors of Sharpie.
With over 6 million views on YouTube, this love letter has resonated with pet lovers around the world.
