It all started Tetiaroa atoll in French Polynesia, on this very beach, where Marlon Brando would come at the end of each day and ask his friend Bob to create a cocktail for him.
We wanted to celebrate Marlon Brando’s love story with Polynesia by creating the menu in the form of Marlon's travel diary from Tetiaroa. Thanks to historical research and archives at our disposal, this notebook tells the story of Marlon's encounter with the island, with many anecdotes scattered throughout its pages.
The food and beverage items are laid out in an orderly fashion to calm the profusion of decorative elements. Cocktail pages are colorful loose-leaf sheets that can be slid into photo corners for easy reprinting by the bar. Two different covers have been produced: one with gold hot foil and one with dry embossing to differentiate menus with prices from all-inclusive menus.
We paid particular attention to its manufacture: to ensure that the notebook is a perfectly authentic object, only 30 copies were produced, all its production was carried out by hand. The leather cover, the medals, the photos, the postage stamps, the stamps: all the elements have been assembled by hand, one by one. The photos are held in place by photo corners, the 20 stamps were stamped with different colors of ink, and the leather cover was crafted by a specialized craftswoman who also applied the medal.
