For its 170th anniversary, Gübelin is paying homage to its legacy as a watchmaker. The brand launched its own Gübelin watch designed by star architect Dr. Santiago Calatrava.
The platinum Ipsomatic watch, with its iconic, organically curved shapes, is limited to 170 pieces, reflecting the 170th anniversary of the House of Gübelin.
Our goal was to incorporate Calatrava's unique design style into the project. In collaboration with the architectural firm GRUNER&FRIENDS a gigantic set was built that was inspired by Calatrava's architecture and his design for the watch. Calatrava's unique design language was recreated with simple, yet beautiful and versatile column elements.
