The Yoodle is an unexpected, joyful change to the YouTube logo across web, the mobile apps, and televisions. The program celebrates community, culture and fun, by highlighting the amazing range of interest-based content across the platform. Each Yoodle is live for 24 hours in various markets on a date that is significant to the featured community.
More than just a visual takeover, the Yoodle aims to inject moments of unexpected joy and discovery into the user experience. It serves as a visual representation of YouTube's connection to its global audience, reflecting the diverse tapestry of interests and passions that bring people together.
We are submitting a collection of ten Yoodles that exemplify the program's breadth and depth. This curated selection exemplifies the wide range of topics covered by the program, demonstrating our approach to engaging viewers with subjects both familiar and unexpected. This submission includes:
Pottery: A look at the process and skills of ceramics artists.
Miniatures: A lighthearted homage to the meticulous hobby of miniature model building.
Funk Carioca: An irreverent celebration of the Brazilian musical genre funk carioca.
Rubik's Cube: Exploring the world of speedcubing and the algorithms used by Rubik's Cube champions.
DJ Livestreams: An inside look at the world of DJing both online and in intimate real-world venues.
Table Tennis: A fast-paced drama highlighting the strategy and skill of this sport.
Mukbang: A glimpse into the popular food-focused online trend originating in Korea.
Henna: an exploration of a culturally significant art-form across the Middle East.
Keyboard Modding: A look at the intricate and expressive world of customized mechanical keyboards.
Comic Collectors: Exploring the passion and dedication that drives the world of comic collecting.
A number of these Yoodles were created in collaboration with artists who identify with the respective communities, adding an important layer of authenticity and local perspective.
