A series of newspaper covers for Dnevnik, Slovenia’s largest daily newspaper. Objektiv is Dnevnik’s Saturday supplement.
1) American Attack on Venezuela
The cover was based on four articles published in Objektiv, all sharing the same premise: this is not about democracy, but about oil and greed.
2–4) The Massacre of Journalists in Gaza
According to RSF data, about 220 journalists have been killed during Israel’s war in Gaza since it began on October 7, 2023. The cover is intentionally almost unreadable, as the loss of objective information itself was the message we sought to convey.
5–7) 17,400 Children
The killing of 17,400 children in Gaza over 20 months is a number beyond comprehension, which led to the decision to present it as a horror infographic.
8) The EU Capitulated in a Trade Agreement with Trump
EU politicians called for Ursula von der Leyen’s resignation after she agreed to a U.S. trade deal widely seen as a capitulation, imposing 15% tariffs on EU exports while granting Americans duty-free access.
9) Trump Announced the Deportation of Millions
One of the first measures announced under Trump’s new mandate was the establishment of camps and the planned deportation of millions of immigrants.
