Born in Sichuan, the southwestern China in 1991, Yuyang self studied photography at 16. He holds a B.A. in History from East China Normal University, and bases in Shanghai and Chengdu, China currently. He is now a freelancer for The New York Times, Getty Images and The Washington Post etc. His work has been published on TIME, The New York Times, NPR, BBC, The Guardian, ChinaFile, Science, South China Morning Post, etc., he also collaborates with NGOs such as UNICEF, Greenpeace and Save the Children. His commercial clients includes Apple, Airbnb and Xiaomi etc,.
