Kabelo Moshapalo, executive creative director for TBWA Hunt Lascaris is a self-taught illustrator that traded his acrylic paints and paintbrushes for the digital canvas. In over 19 years of digital interactive experience, he has worked with brands like McDonald’s, Toyota, Nissan, Emirates, Kraft Foods, HP, Samsung, Motorola, EA Games, MTN, Caltex and Joburg Ballet. Born and raised in Soweto, Kabelo is responsible for driving creative excellence in digital interactive solutions for TBWA in Johannesburg. In 2015, Kabelo was featured in Destiny Man magazine’s Power of 40 List, which celebrates extraordinary men from all over South Africa under the age of 40. Kabelo has been a jury member at Clios, Lisbon International Advertising Festival, Loeries, and Bookmarks (to name a few), adjudicating work across diverse categories, ranging from Digital, Mobile, Social, Content, TV, Radio, Design, Experiential and Creative Effectiveness. His work has been awarded at major advertising festivals including Cannes Lions, ADC New York, The One Show, D&AD, Clios and Webbys.
