ADC Awards

The ADC Annual Awards, part of The One Club for Creativity, is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. Now heading into its incredible 100th year, these Awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

Disabled Designer, Art Activist, Educator, she/her/ella

Baltimore, USA

Jen is a Afro-Latina, disabled designer, educator, and activist, whose work explores the intersection of content and caregiving with an emphasis on redesigning ableist visual culture. Her activist work has been featured in The Washington Post, New York Times, AfroPunk, Google Stories, and is permanently archived in Libraries at The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the National Museum of Women in the Arts. She's worked within disability advocacy initiatives with companies like Converse, Twitter, Google, Nike, and last year she was selected as an honoree on the 2020 Diversability’s D-30 Disability Impact List.

Currently, she teaches as an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Visual Culture at Bowie State University, in Bowie, MD. Jen holds an MFA in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a BA in Visual Arts from University of Maryland Baltimore County.
