The ADC Annual Awards is the oldest continuously running industry award show in the world. Now in its incredible 102nd year, these awards celebrate the very best in advertising, digital media, graphic and publication design, packaging and product design, motion, experiential and spatial design, photography, illustration and fashion design all with a focus on artistry and craftsmanship.

Mereb’s Caribbean and Middle Eastern heritage, and profound love of books has deeply influenced her work, giving it a hybrid nature. Her experience encompasses designing for newspapers, directing creative projects for academic institutions, printed matter for children’s books, and teaching. She holds ongoing artistic collaborations in Latin America and Europe. Faride founded Letra Muerta Press in 2014, she has done multiple collaborations in association with printer Javier Aizpurua from Ex Libris Press. Besides teaching, she has worked with companies like Penguin Random House, Kenning Editions, Cuban Artists Around the World, Ugly Duckling Presse, Reycraft Books, and many more. Currently, she is a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, a Trustee of the New York Chapter of the American Printing History Association (APHA), a member of The Bibliographical Society of America, and the Center for Book Arts. She is also part of the communication team at a Tech Company called Spline. Her work has been recognized by The Ibero-American Design Biennial (Spain), Latin American Design Awards (Peru), Leipzig’s Stiftung Buchkunst (Germany), CLAP (Spain), AIGA and Spine Magazine (USA). She was awarded the 10x10 Research Grant for her work on Karmele Leizaola.
