Ayaka B. Ito is an independent Creative Director, Graphic Designer and Type Designer splitting her time between New York and Tokyo. For more than 15 years, she has worked with studios like Creech, NR2154, The Working Assembly, and RoAndCo. Ayaka specializes on type-driven brand identities, editorial design, illustrations, and typefaces for a diverse range of projects in art, hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, and beauty. Through these collaborations, she has worked for international clients across Europe, Japan and the US, like Le Labo, Rizzoli, Cometeer, Athletic Greens, Bloomscape, Stone And Strand and The North Face Japan. Ayaka is a graduate from Type@Cooper, SVA, Rochester Institute of Technology, and she is passionate about integrating her Japanese heritage with contemporary Western design and typography.
