A Chartered Accountant, Frank Adebiaye (Paris, France) is also a document and type designer. He founded Velvetyne Type Foundry in 2010. He has written or co-written numerous articles on typography and graphic design as well as several books including one about François Boltana (2011), Fontes Libres (2011) or La Commande de design graphique (2014). He designed a logo for Paris (2016). He co-designed a banknote (Orell Füssli, 2019) and Forward (FutureFonts, 2021). His work has been the subject of exhibitions (in Netherlands, France, United States and Switzerland), lectures (Lure, Le Signe, HEAD) and radio programs (France Culture). Frank Adebiaye is also a regular speaker at HEAR and ANRT on font licensing and advises type foundries on their marketing strategy.
