Wenjia Tang is a freelance illustrator and a former New Yorker currently based in Nanjing, China. She graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art with a BFA in Illustration.Wenjia loves working on themes of nature and its relationship with human society. Her work often depicts serene and peaceful scenes with subtle, speckled textures.Some of her clients include The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, Airbnb, Forbes, Christianity Today, MTA, L.L.Bean, and Marvis. In addition to editorial and commercial commissions, Wenjia has illustrated several picture books published by DK, Kids Can Press, Little Tiger, and Flying Eye Books. Her work has been recognized by American Illustration, the Society of Illustrators, Communication Arts, the AOI World Illustration Awards, and 3x3 Magazine.
