Leadership isn’t a power you have over people— it’s a responsibility you have to them. A responsibility to make people think. To make people care. And a responsibility to get people to take action on things that matter. I’m a creative leader at one of the most influential creative agencies of 2020, which comes with a great deal of responsibility to make sure that influence is used in the right way.
Earlier this year, when female directors were completely snubbed at the Oscars, I created a campaign called GiveHerABreak, that hacked the Oscars and replaced commercials with female-directed films— raising over one million dollars in free media for the female creatives that were robbed.
Before that I created the most inclusive campaign for COVERGIRL, helping them diversify their foundations to include all colors and skin tones by highlighting and crediting the hundreds of women that inspired us to create the product.
I wrote a 2020 female candidate’s presidential campaign announcement and platform, to make sure her campaign had the same level of creative firepower as the big-guys.
And at Droga5, I created g5, an initiative where female creatives at the agency made pro-bono campaigns for female-led startups.
I’m currently working with Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty to spread body positivity, Rhythm Energy to advocate for clean energy, and Girls Who Code to diversify women in STEM.
