We're both Portuguese creatives currently at Ogilvy Paris, with 6 years of experience. When it comes to influencing and supporting equality in the industry, even though we don’t normally participate in big initiatives with that purpose, we make it our mission on a daily basis to challenge all kind of inequalities and pass this on to our colleagues. We do it by:

– Making sure our assistants and interns get a voice no matter at what table we’re sitting.
– Assuring the casting criteria for every brief is fair and diverse.
– Letting every female creative that is suffering from discrimination at work know we're people they can speak to and count on.
– Guarantee that the insights we use on our work are not misogynist or perpetuating a chauvinist society.
– Referencing brilliant female directors, DOPs, photographs that should be included in the production reel lists.
– Letting all female creatives we supervise, know of initiatives like Invisible Creatives, See it Be It, She Says, Girls in Film and so on.
– Actively challenge our male creative peers on how to create more inclusive work, by giving them our female perspective.
– Having after work conversations with Miami Ad School students, and interns on how the industry works, so that they are prepared and have tools to navigate through it in the smartest way.

For us there's no better way to empower female creatives than by passing on our expertise and "leading" by example.
