Advertising is deeply proud of its evolved, cutting-edge status but simultaneously, it’s appallingly slow in recognizing the ways in which it has hampered its own creative breadth. Innovation, disruption, and creativity are the result of diversity. We need to realize, we have a lot of agency over our own environments. I have been called out for having an all-women team under me, with an exception of two men. But I am a fan of affirmative action. And I 100% believe women have a way better work ethic, drive to excel, emotional intelligence, and women get shit done and how! Quote me on this, no problem. It’s funny that men are promoted on potential. Women, on proof. So I’m changing that in my team, one hire, one promotion, one opportunity at a time.

In 2020, I was a part of Interns From Home, an initiative that enabled access to advertising knowledge, talent and mentorship to 50 young students who were keen to learn the ropes of advertising. This year, along with my team and in collaboration with Indian Creative Women, I charted another program, The Ad Fellows Returnship, to guide creative moms, looking to re-enter the workforce, to be industry-ready (again).
