Hyun Seo has been transient for most of her adult life. Originally from Seoul, she moved to New York without knowing anyone in the city and six years later followed that up by moving to Dubai, a city in a region she had never been and barely knew of. Her journey has brought her struggles especially in breaking down barriers between her and the people of the cities she’s called home but meeting people along the way and immersing herself in their culture has given her richer insights and injected diversity into her creative work.

She is currently working in TikTok’s Creative Lab METAP as a senior creative with experience across a wide range of visual communication disciplines in both advertising and ad tech. She was recently nominated as a LIA Creative LIAisons coach and AdStar’s MAD academy instructor for 2021 looking to impart her knowledge and experience to those who faced the same kind of challenges as she did coming up in the industry.
