Read InterviewIt’s always a bit awkward to brag about yourself, isn’t it? I’m not claiming to be the world’s most creative person or the perfect leader. But if there’s one thing I know for sure, it’s that I care.
When I was a student at Art Center College of Design, there wasn't a single female teacher. I craved having someone other than a white man to look up to. Years later, I went back to my alma mater, and became the first East Asian female teacher in the Advertising department.
Throughout my career, I have always fought to have as much minority representation as possible in my work, and to speak truths that need to heard.
I had a campaign with Seventh Generation that highlighted the youth climate activists, and it aired following Trump's State of the Union address.
I created a film with Vital Voices featuring Amanda Gorman that championed female voices during Covid.
And most recently, I worked on a PSA for The Asian American Foundation. A truly special message that is much needed following the wave of Asian hate that started during Covid and sadly continued to grow.
