I started my career in Curitiba, a city in Southern Brazil. I remember being the only girl in the creative department, but this didn't stop me from becoming the first woman to win the Cannes Young Lions competition in my state, neither stopped me from moving to NYC to pursue a career in advertising in 2013.
Impact-driven ideas have always been my passion and the type of project that shaped my career. I had the privilege of creating and leading the Refugee Nation project for Amnesty International - winner of the "Best of Show" at the One Show, and the 3rd most awarded campaign in Cannes in 2017. In partnership with refugees, we created the refugee flag, a symbol of solidarity to represent 70 million displaced people worldwide. The project went beyond awards, being featured at the MoMA and generating hundreds of jobs for refugees.
Another project I feel grateful to have been part of was Type With Pride, for NYC Pride. The idea: a typeface to honor Gilbert Baker, creator of the Rainbow Flag. More than a font, this project got support from Vice President Joe Biden and became a powerful tool to amplify LGBTQ community's voice.
I try to positively impact the world in every project I work on. In the Phone-Life Balance campaign for Motorola, for example, we made the brand that created the cellphone tell people to put it aside for a while, helping them rethink how they interact with technology.
In NYC, I worked at TBWA ChiatDay, Ogilvy, and McCann, where I just got promoted to CD. As a fresh leader, I'm proud of helping make our creative department 50% men and 50% women. It's also my personal commitment providing these girls with the mentorship I never received at the early stages of my career.
