Educated in the UK and with 24+ years in the creative industry in Auckland, London and Amsterdam; Matt is a versatile brand builder who has partnered with businesses on a national and international level, while working collaboratively with various design teams bringing ideas, creations and products to life. With a wide breadth of experience including brand creation, story building, new product development, packaging, brand implementation on a digital platform and copywriting he helps build robust brands and compelling stories.

Matt is currently the Creative Director of Onfire Design, Auckland - a small, spirited and independent agency that works with a wide range of manufacturers, Financial providers, FMCG businesses and smaller owner-operated enterprises in New Zealand, Australia and SE Asia. Overseeing the design team he is the project lead; setting creative standards, encouraging the design team to demonstrate a high-level of conceptual thinking, design craftsmanship, typographic refinement and pushing a idea to its limits.

Onfire has been acknowledged in World Brand Society's global Top 10 agency list 2018/19 and 2019/20. He is a professional member of the New Zealand Designers Institute, speaker for Design Assembly, a local design community organisation and FMCG Magazine Marketing Summit. Matt is also Creative Director at The Fine People, a New Zealand based start-up drinks manufacturer, creating its first product Finery, a premium Vodka Soda RTD product.
