Background
OPPO, the world's leading smart device brand, is launching its latest flagship smartphone, the Find X8 Series. With its new Lighting Snap feature, capturing moving objects has never been easier. Press and hold to capture up to seven frames per second, ensuring that no matter how fast-paced the action is, you'll get the perfectly clear shot.
Creative Idea
What if the pet owner only sees her pet as a blurry mess? We take this insight and turn it into a dramatic and surrealistic experience, imagining a pet owner with a cat that is literally blurry.
Insights & Strategy
Pet owners always want to capture the most lovely moments of their pets. However, most of the time they end up with a ton of blurry photos in their smartphone photo albums. It's always challenging to capture their energetic pets.
Execution
Observing from tons of blurry pet photos, we recreated a blurry cat using VFX, showing it walking around the home. To add a touch of quirkiness to the commercial, we decided to use cat meows to create the soundtrack. This instantly made the spot more memorable and had people meowing along with the film.
Results
The Find X8 Series has performed exceptionally well globally since its launch in November 2024. Sales have increased by 200% compared to the previous model, and the device ranks among the top 3 in all major markets.
In the domestic market, the phone has sold over 1 million units, marking the highest sales volume in the history of the Find series.
Social media performance has been impressive: official content exposure reached 363.99 million views, with an interaction volume of 1.4 million, reflecting a 94% increase compared to previous figures. Active mentions rose to 156.8K, showing a 104% increase. Additionally, the average daily traffic volume of the official website increased by more than 20,000 visitors.
