I had the pleasure to design the visual identity and the poster of the first edition of “Cairo Art Book Fair”, founded and organized by Marwa Benhalim (curator and artist) and Nour El Safoury (critic and publisher of Esmat—Publishing List).
 The lettering of the Fair's logo which is the main visual of the poster too, is inspired from different arabic calligraphic styles mixed together. Each word has a symbol in a form of letter that reflects the meaning of this word. "Cairo" has a simplified lotus icon in a form of the letter "Haa" in Arabic while the letter "Kaf" in "Book" looks like an open book, "Fair" hs the connected "Meem, Even and Raa" letters looking like a corner of a frame and final "Art" has an unconventional twisted "Feh" letter.
