About the Work

This interface is part of a broader initiative to bring interactivity into Hard Rock's cafes and hotels worldwide. The Booth Interactive is a touch-based interface mounted on the wall at the end of the cafe tables. Designed to include additional features over time, the interface consisted of three modes at launch: Memorabilia, Music and Rock Shop. Memorabilia = Explore the world's greatest music memorabilia collection -- over 1,200 items at launch with more added continually -- in mind-boggling detail. Music = Review the music playing and vote for what should play next in that cafe. Rock Shop = Browse Hard Rock merchandise. Seven screens launched in Dallas in July 2009, 38 more in Las Vegas in September 2009. The interface was designed and produced by Duncan/Channon in close collaboration with Hard Rock and our software development partner, Vertigo.
