About the Work

The NGO "Reporters without Borders" is fighting for press freedom. To call attention for this matter, RSF launched an online ad targeted specifically at people most likely to support RSF: Readers with a desire to share their opinion, or the so called Critics (19% according to Forrester). Therefore we demonstrated the impact of online censorship by not allowing them to do what they normally do with a banner imitating the comment section of newspapers or blogs. After the commenter typed in a few words, the text suddenly becomes deleted and a fake, partisan message is written automatically. The comment then is posted (in the commentator?s name) onto the website, before the resolution pops up and calls for press freedom.
The ad was placed on one of the leading Swiss blogs (one of the country's top 200 sites according to anthrazit) dealing mostly with the topic freedom of speech and will be rolled-out again in March to support actions during the "day of freedom of speech in the Internet".
