About the Work
SKY Television, New Zealand?s largest satellite television provider, asked us to promote the newly discounted price of their Arts Channel. Far from being mainstream programming, the Arts Channel carries content rich in culture, art and history.
We were briefed to promote the fact that, for just an added $2.99 a week, SKY subscribers could sign up to the Arts Channel and enjoy the life and work of some of history?s greatest artists.
The most talented artists are usually the most tortured; the ones who lose their minds and often their lives in the pursuit of artistic brilliance. With this in mind, we created radio ads that put into perspective the enormous price these artists paid to create their work, and the comparative pittance SKY subscribers paid to enjoy it.
