About the Work

We were tasked with creating a piece of branded entertainment to support Pepsi Max?s endorsement of 20-year-old NBA Rookie of the Year Kyrie Irving.

Our idea: Disguise a top-tier NBA player like an old man and take him to a real pick-up basketball game. Create a compelling character and storyline which, if executed properly, would outlast the stunt itself.

Combining traditional cinematic storytelling with stunt marketing, we produced a 5-minute mini-movie, which captures the intensity of the game, the reactions of those in attendance, and the process of transforming young Kyrie Irving into aging Uncle Drew.
