The official site for Alfonso Cuaron's movie Gravity, featuring Spacewalk, an immersive WebGL experience recreating the visceral feelings of being alone in the vastness of space. Beautiful, clean, functional design was our goal with the site. We wanted the imagery and the environment to be the focus leaving our exploration to simple navigation between locations with our the locations themselves as the real stars of the experience.

The biggest creative accomplishments with this site fall into a more technical category, with the real beauty in the experience being a balance between performance, load time, pay off, and a realistic look and feel. Incorporating the actual 3D models used in the movie, Spacewalk truly pushes the limits of these objectives.
