About the Work

Despite a rise in American gun violence and mass shootings, the country’s largest grocery store chain, Kroger, still supports a US law that allows people to openly carry loaded firearms in its stores. (the ‘Open Carry’ law) “Poodle” highlights Kroger’s existing store policies, comparing what’s not allowed inside its stores against the absurd reality of what is: loaded guns. These radio ads are all actual calls to real Kroger stores. Resulted in generating 360,000 petition signatures and a national survey now shows 83% support for Kroger to prohibit guns.
