About the Work

The Valspar paint company believes everyone should experience color to the fullest. Even the colorblind. Over 300 million people in the world are colorblind. Valspar partnered with Enchroma to bring their optical technology to the colorblind so that they could see color for the first time. An emotional online documentary was created about the project, “Color For The Colorblind” that ignited a global conversation. ValsparColorForAll.com featured additional content and stories. The glasses were made available for sale. They were placed in paint aisles, so that the colorblind could pick out paint for their homes for the first time in their lives. The glasses sold out in just one month. But, more importantly, the 300 million colorblind people in the world, for the first time, had a forum to discuss being colorblind. A community was formed where none existed before.
