About the Work

For decades Tic Tac have been the world’s favorite mints.   But like a lot of classics brands, the iconic mint was beginning to lose relevance. It had gotten lost, if not forgotten, in the sea of newer, hipper, fancier, millennial-targeted mints.   The biggest problem was that the tiny mint had fallen off the radar. And when you asked fans why they hadn’t bought us recently, the answer was simple; “I just haven’t thought about them.”   So last year, Tic Tac launched a new brand campaign with the objective to stand out big, by going little. They kicked if off with the world’s first pre-loader ad, combining two things people really don’t like—the spinning loader wheel and the pre-roll add—then adding something everyone likes: Tic Tac mints.   They reached those “forgetful” millennials on YouTube, Hulu and Virool with a surprise designed to remind them the joys of going little.
