About the Work

In Brazil, when you buy something you get a small tax refund that you can donate to a non-profit organization. All you need is the receipt. But donating isn’t that easy because you’ll either need to find a donation box in which to leave your purchase receipt or you’ll need to send it in the mail. But there's even more of a problem for the non-profit organizations themselves, as they need to collect and manually enter all the numbers on the receipts into the government’s website. one by one… so, sometimes they can’t handle the amount of data entry required and as a result they lose the credits. Our goal is to make donating as simple as taking a picture; that’s how nfscan was born.
