About the Work

Narcos Season 2 opened with Pablo Escobar’s police pursuit. Back then, Pablo’s only way of communication was through radio, which was also the DEA’s best hope of tracking him. We recreated this chase on the radio waves by hijacking an hour of airtime from a Sao Paulo radio station and broadcasting what would have been an empty frequency from 1993, including Pablo’s conversations, interferences, Colombian songs, and sports commentary of the time. On the Narcos Facebook page, we started a live feed from an agent surveillance desk, inviting fans to tune in and join the hunt for the notorious drug lord.
