About the Work
Kids battling cancer at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis are often too sick to travel and see the world beyond their hospital room. So, we brought the world to them. Expedia employees set out on adventures all over the globe, and using 360° cameras, streamed their travel experiences back to the hospital in Memphis, in real-time from thousands of miles away. This immersive, 360° live experience was able to instantly transport kids at St. Jude's from their hospital rooms to places in the world they could only dream of going. Expedia Dream Adventures gave kids who need it most the chance to forget about their cancer treatments for the day, and experience the healing power of travel.
