About the Work

Each year, 1.2 million dogs in the United States are killed while waiting to be adopted. As a longtime partner of the ASPCA—and the car company with the highest percentage of drivers who own dogs—Subaru decided to act. To encourage people to adopt dogs—the ultimate way to make any dog’s day—we invited dog lovers everywhere to create new and interesting ways to make their own dog’s day, and then share those with the world. We used PR, television, online films, and social media to spread the word and share the content. Millions of dog lovers participated, and just as many dogs had their unconditional love returned. But most importantly, the ASPCA saw an immediate, and dramatic, rise in adoptions.
