Every year, the public is bombarded with thousands of stories about gun violence. With so many stories, people have become numb, making it difficult for organizations like Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence to make a significant impact. Teddy bear manufacturers are required to follow strict safety regulations—unless that teddy bear is a gun. Introducing Teddy Gun. Created to shine a light on the lack of common-sense gun regulations. Teddy Gun was developed to ignite conversation and put pressure on Congress. Our online film needed to stop people in their tracks, move them deeply, and motivate them to take action. A powerful and thought-provoking film brought this to life online, in social media, and with PR, targeting those who support our cause. It led people to TeddyGun.com. There, a social tool allowed users to tweet directly to their senators and representatives, putting pressure on their exact legislators.
