About the Work
Bookmarks for 3rd_PAGE, a members lounge for the elderly Welcome to “3rd_PAGE” This is a members-only lounge (founded by Japan’s oldest department stores Mitsukoshi/Isetan) designed for an ever-increasing number of elderly customers. While competitors are focused on attracting younger customers, Mitsukoshi/Isetan instead decided to cater to their up market, mature clientele. Members may enjoy coffee brewed from beans around the world, while immersing themselves in carefully selected books found throughout the lounge. In order to add to this brand experience, we created intellectually stimulating bookmarks. By doing so, members were able to please their aesthetic eye, and given an opportunity to find joy in the little things in life.
